Minesh is a fully qualified architect and has over 10 years of professional experience. He studied architecture at the University of Nottingham. He previously worked for Glenn Howells Architects in Birmingham for five years, helping to deliver a variety of high-profile arts, education, residential and office projects in the UK including a new 1,700 home island neighborhood in East London for developer Ballymore and the ‘Paradise’ masterplan for developer Argent, in the civic core of Birmingham City Centre.
Most recently he worked for the RIBA Royal Gold Medal winning practice O’Donnell and Tuomey architects in Ireland where he was Project Architect on the UCC Student Hub project. Architects in Leamington Spa - FAQ
Why use an architect?
Using an architect will help ensure your project is safe and legal. Chartered architects have years of formal training and are held to a statutory code of practise. They are also required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance, ensuring you are protected.
When should I involve an architect?
We’d recommend involving an architect as early as possible. The most important decisions are made early on in a project, so the sooner they are involved the sooner they can provide guidance and advice.
How can I check if an architect is registered?
The title ‘architect’ is protected by law, so making sure your architect is ARB registered is important. Use this link to check if your Leicester architect is on the Register: Architects Register. If they are not on the register, they are not an architect.
How much do architects charge?
The fee depends on the project. For standard extensions, we charge a lower fixed fee. For larger bespoke projects with project management, we would charge a percentage rate of the overall build cost.
What other costs do I need to consider?
Planning Application Fees
The most common application fees are as follows:
Most extensions - £206
Lawful development certificate - £103
New build houses (1-50 homes) - £462 per house
New build houses (50+ homes) - £22,859 plus £138 for every dwelling up to max. £300,000
