Minesh Patel BArch (Hons) MArch PGDip RIBA ARB

Minesh studied architecture at the University of Nottingham where he completed his Parts I, II and III. He has a special interest in housing, with his master’s thesis exploring low cost and sustainable housing typologies.

He previously worked for Glenn Howells Architects in Birmingham for five years, helping to deliver a variety of high-profile arts, education, residential and office projects in the UK including a new 1,700 home island neighborhood in East London for developer Ballymore and the ‘Paradise’ masterplan for developer Argent, in the civic core of Birmingham City Centre.

Most recently he worked for the RIBA Royal Gold Medal winning practice O’Donnell and Tuomey architects in Ireland where he was Project Architect on the UCC Student Hub project. The new student centre involved the sensitive restoration and extension of a historic building at the heart of the University College Cork campus and has been nominated for an EU Mies award.

Upon returning from Ireland, he set-up his practice, Minesh Patel Architects with the intention of making thoughtful, highly crafted projects with a focus on social purpose.

Testimonials

“We spoke to a number of architects for help with our bungalow refurbishment. We were drawn to Minesh's enthusiasm for our project and his impressive range of experience. A project like this can be very stressful, however we felt relaxed and constantly reassured. It is evident he is passionate about his work and we'd be happy to work with him again in the future. Highly recommended!”

G THOMAS

“I've worked with many Architects over the last few years but few have been as easy to work with as Minesh. I found him really reliable, hardworking and knowledgeable and will DEFINITELY be hiring him in the future! Highly recommended!”

M RAI

“The experience and proven capability of Minesh in previous big developments and designs gave me confidence that he would be ideal for the project. I am not a builder or property developer, so I needed someone I could trust to get it right first time and who was very reasonably priced . I was not disappointed.”

Our Values

Good Design

Our aim as an architects practice is to improve lives through good design. We do this by working closely with a range of clients from homeowners to developers who share our aspirations to create high quality architecture. We seek to form positive relationships and develop imaginative solutions which add value and delight users.

Environment

Low carbon design informs our design approach for every project. Our architecture seeks to reduce both ‘in-use’ costs and embodied energy. Sustainable architecture is synonymous with good design. It involves harnessing the natural features of a site and existing conditions. We also try to draw upon local materials and construction techniques to create architecture which is contextual and rooted in its surroundings.
